The TEDOM economizers are additional exhaust heat exchangers intended to improve the effectiveness of natural gas fuelling CHP units’ operation. They are designed to ensure higher cooling level of the exhaust gases from CHP unit, thus improving its heat power and efficiency.
The economizer can be used as:
An after-cooling heat exchanger to improve CHP unit's heat power and its heat and total efficiency. In this case, it is connected to the CHP unit's return water supply line on the fluid side.
Condensing heat exchanger that enables the increase of CHP unit's heat power even by the moisture condensation heat produced by burnt fuel. In this case, the economizer is connected to a separate low temperature system.
